Quartz & Granite Countertop Care and Maintenance Guide
Quartz:
Use a mild dish soap and warm water with a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaners.
Granite:
Clean with a pH-balanced stone cleaner or mild dish soap. Wipe with a soft cloth to prevent streaking.
Quartz:
No sealing is necessary. Quartz is non-porous and engineered to resist staining and bacteria.
Granite:
Granite is porous and should be sealed every 1–2 years. Test it by sprinkling water—if it darkens, it’s time to reseal.
Clean spills promptly, especially acidic or oily liquids like wine, vinegar, coffee, lemon juice, and cooking oil.
Do not allow water to sit for extended periods—especially on granite.
Always use trivets or hot pads under cookware, crockpots, or hot trays.
Sudden temperature changes can cause cracking (especially in quartz).
Always use a cutting board. Quartz and granite can scratch or dull your knives. Don’t drag pots or appliances across the countertop.
Bleach, ammonia, or acidic cleaners. Oven cleaners or paint removers. Scouring pads or steel wool
Don't stand or sit on the countertop or use the surface as a workbench or for heavy impact tasks
Use coasters for glasses—especially those containing alcohol or citrus.
Monthly deep cleaning: Use a stone-safe cleaner or a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water.
For stuck-on materials: Use a plastic putty knife to gently remove without scratching.
Your countertops are an investment—let’s help you protect them for years to come.
